A Way to Help Someone in Need

Here is an EASY way to A Way to Help Someone in Need!  My friend Amanda, who has guest blogged for me before, has nominated her brother.  His name is Josh Martin.  All you have to do is go to this FACEBOOK PAGE and simply “like” his picture.  That is it!  Every like he gets can get him one step closer to having a smile!

More of His Story

I am nominating my brother, Josh Martin.

Josh is a sweet 31-year-old man who is trying so very hard to get back on his feet. He made some mistakes as a young adult that set him back a bit, mistakes that I’m sure he’s not proud of. Through those experiences, God used those times to allow him to grow in wisdom and Josh eventually turned his life around. Unfortunately one of the things that were too late to change was the condition of his teeth and at the young age of 26, he, unfortunately, lost them all. Despite not having teeth, it hasn’t held him back from working hard and trying to improve his life.

The downfall to having no teeth at such a young age is the judgment he gets from everyone he meets. While he tries hard to land a solid job, not all employers are able to look past the missing teeth and many probably mistake him for someone unreliable and untrustworthy. If only they knew that he is one of the hardest working young men with such amazing talent that I think Josh is even unable to see. Because of that, it’s been difficult for him to make ends meet, but he doesn’t let that hold him back and he pushes through.

Hard Worker

He does just about anything he can to help provide for his family. He and his girlfriend work hard to get a step ahead and it seems as if there’s always a big expense that comes out of nowhere. A broken-down car, a medical issue, house issues, etc. I’m sure one day he would love to purchase dentures to improve his smile, his self-esteem, along with his career success, but in true selfless character, he’d rather use any money he does make on his family and just making ends meet. He could never justify spending thousands of dollars on himself and so teeth are honestly the last of his worries.

Improving Self-Esteem

In addition to that, I can only imagine the embarrassment and anxiety he endures when going to a store, a restaurant, or anywhere out in public. Again, the judgmental stares he likely receives can only push his self-esteem further down. I would love to see him win this smile giveaway, so he can finally receive dentures which will improve his life in more ways than we could probably imagine!

Thank you so very much for your time and for your consideration. I truly appreciate it, and I’m sure he will, too!
