I’ve been setting here thinking about the New Year and what my personal goals will be. I don’t set “New Year’s Resolutions” because I break them within the first few hours of the New Year. I will be adding some things to my bucket list, that is where I will house my thoughts. I have the freedom to add/delete as I want too with no pressure because my bucket list is MY list 🙂
I will NOT be posting everyday, like I did this year because this year, I had set that goal of posting a picture and blog everyday. I wanted to see something through. Something that I do enjoy, but can add pressure when you get to the end of the day and you realize that nothing was posted.
I’m not going to stress myself out like that. There are a few core things that I will continue to talk about (RAD, adoption, homeschooling, saving money, recipes, going green) and I will still have my guest bloggers come through and add some words of wisdom. I love having guest bloggers who share the same passions as I do and can be raw, open, and honest with their struggles and how God weaves His holy thread throughout their lives.
I think, a personal goal, will be for me to dive more into Scripture. I’ve been on the hunt for a Thompson Chain Reference Bible and I can’t seem to find one that is NOT King James Version (nothing against that version…I love listening to it be read, but it is difficult for me to understand). I want one with the little cheat tabbies to help me quickly find a particular book. I have heard/read great things about this study Bible.
I have not used a study Bible in a long long time because I came to realize that I was depending too much on the words “explanations of Scripture” by the authors of the book, itself, and not relying on the Holy Spirit to guide me and my personal thoughts. The Holy Spirit will never lead me wrong…man, however, is fallible.
I may journal my readings and personal thoughts on my blog, since I use this as my journal more times than not. We shall see. It is a possibility. I do enjoy looking back and reading old journals or looking through old Bibles to see what I have highlighted/dated or wrote things beside certain Scripture.
If there is anything that you would like to see me blog about, please don’t hesitate to ask.
I have no idea how many people follow thebarefoothomechooler and who doesn’t. My initial goal was to keep my family in the loop of what was going on here at home and it has expanded a bit since my beginnings.
I want to the people that come here to see the real, raw, hard, glorious, messy life I lead. My ultimate goal is to reach other’s for Christ and for people to see how He has guided me and my family through the good times and the bad.
