Easy Chicken and Dumpling’s

Boil a whole chicken.

That, I can do.

Pull the chicken off the bone.

That I will gag on cause it is nasty.  N.A.S.T.Y.

I can’t even handle it.

I can castrate, slit throats, handle work or beef…but anything that has to do with a bird….

Gag.  Me.  With.  A.  Spoon.

Have husband or bestie take the bird off the bone.

Drain the chicken broth to get all the little nasties out of the fabulous chicken broth.

Throw away the nasties, put the broth back in the pan.

Add in some seasoning and minced onions.

Add in the shredded up chicken (I would only use what you need.  One bird can make up to three meals if you play your cards right.  The leftover meat can be frozen in ziplock baggies.

Add a can of cream of chicken.

Then, go buy this little gem.

These are in the frozen section of your local grocery store.

I use about half the bag, breaking each dumpling into thirds.

Turn the heat up to low to medium (be sure to continue to stir), put a lid on it and let it cook for about 30 minutes.

Take the lid off and make sure your dumplings are separated.

Replace the lid and cook till the dumplings are done.

Yumm-E.

~~~~Again, not my photo, but looks like mine 🙂  I need to do better taking pictures of my food, but I’m a sucky food picture taker~~~~
