Meal Planning

I did pretty good for two weeks. I spent $266 dollars, which is $133/week.  I had absolutely nothing in my pantry or fridge.  We grazed on leftovers for lunches, which is always money saving.  It is hard to save money on a grocery bill for a family of 8….sometimes 9….most recently 10.  I have to be new and creative and learn to make things stretch.  Lucky for me….my Granny, my mom and my M.O.M. are wonderful penny pinchers.  I pray that I pass this onto my kids one day.

Monday:

Spaghetti

Bread

—–for this I use 2 cans of spaghetti sauce, homemade spaghetti mix, about a 1/2 cup of water to thin out the sauce, sometimes I will add some 1/2 and 1/2 or heavy cream along with some cream cheese to give the sauce and extra flavor, 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef with minced onions, and a large box of spaghetti noodles.  The bread is artisan bread and instead of making the standard 4 loaves..I make 2 large loaves.—-
