Last Day of February
My goodness…we are going to blink and it is going to be Christmas again. How is it that when we are younger time stands still. It seems as if birthdays *never* get here and Christmas is never fast enough. As I age, time simply FLIES by! I mean, in one week, I will have 4 teenagers (4 teenagers…people….did you get that?)!
The beginning of the new year brings a lot of busyness to our lives. All appointments are due and trying to get 6 kids into the eye doctor, dentist, and doctor is quite the feat. This is because all of this is has to be arranged around speech therapy, LD testing, counseling, blah blah blah.
Today, I called our local allergy doctor to get all 6 kids into his office for allergy testing. I have put it off long enough and I have finally made several appointments because we can’t get 6 kids in at one time. Bummer, I know. It was hard to work around Bug’s school/work schedule, but I think I got it accomplished 🙂 I absolutely DREAD going, but I know that it is necessary and it will help the kids in the long run.
The last week has been tough on me. I’m not sure why, but I have struggled with keeping my sanity. I’m not sure if it is the wacky weather or the fact that I desperately need to see green….I want to see flowers, trees bloom, warmth, breezy air…..I am ready for spring (not the severe allergies I’m afflicted with, but the beauty of spring). I want to open my windows and have the pollen invade my home.
I. Need. Spring.
For now, though it is going to be 7 degrees in a couple of days and an ice/snow storm is headed this way, I am determined to begin spring cleaning. I need it.
This post has nothing to do about anything…just a lot of whining on my part. Here is a picture of one of my irises in full bloom. Geez, I’m ready for pretty weather
