Homemade Ketchup

 

1 – 6 oz. can of tomato paste

1/2 c. light corn syrup

1/2 c. vinegar

1/4 c. water

1 T. sugar (I ended up adding 2 more T. at the end…just seemed like it needed it)

1 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. onion powder

1/8 tsp. garlic powder

Put all in saucepan and whisk.  Bring to a boil.  Reduce and simmer for 20 minutes.  Take off of burner, cover and cool.  Put in empty ketchup container.
